Gift Card Selling Procedure
Selling Physical Gift Cards

Log In to the POS System

Access Gift Card Sale Option

Select Physical Gift Card

Gift Card Design and Sleeve Selection

Scan the Gift Card
Align the chosen gift card's QR code (located on the back of the card) with the iPad’s camera.
Ensure the QR code is captured correctly, and the gift card number populates on the screen.

Continue to Load Gift Card Value

Add Value to the Gift Card
Tap the Add Value button.
Review the screen for any current balance or activity on the card (if it has been preloaded or used).
Enter the value requested by the customer.
For custom amounts, tap into the Custom Value field and manually enter the desired amount.

Load the Gift Card

Complete the Payment Process
Tap Charge to initiate the payment process.
Follow the standard checkout procedure based on the customer's selected payment method (credit card, cash, etc.).
Finalize the Transaction
Ensure the payment is processed, and the receipt is provided if necessary.
Hand the gift card and any related materials (e.g., sleeve, receipt) to the customer.
Notes:
If the gift card has been previously loaded, the available balance and activity will be shown during the Add Value step.
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded, and the customer’s requests are followed.
Special Note on Refunds
If a customer requests a refund for a purchase made with a gift card, the value can be returned to the original gift card.
If the original gift card is unavailable, the refund can be processed onto a new gift card.

Access the Gift Card Section

Customer Selects Gift Card Design

Enter Gift Card Amount
After the customer has selected their preferred design, enter the requested amount.
Verify the amount with the customer before proceeding.

Collect Customer Email

Confirm and Return to Sale

Process the Payment
Tap Charge to initiate the payment process.
Follow the normal checkout procedure according to the customer’s selected method of payment (credit card, cash, etc.).

Offer Receipt

Special Note on Refunds
If a customer requests a refund for a purchase made with a gift card, the value can be returned to the original gift card.
If the original gift card is unavailable, the refund can be processed onto a new gift card.
Notes:
If refunding an e-gift card purchase, follow the standard return policy and refund the amount to the appropriate gift card.
