Guided Store Tour
OVERVIEW
At Squishable, we value the seamless integration and success of our new Team Members. To ensure a smooth onboarding experience and equip new Team Members with the necessary knowledge, we have implemented a tour of the sales floor. This tour aims to familiarize new Team Members with the layout, key locations, and important information of the store.
PROCESS

Sales Floor Tour:
- As part of the onboarding process, all new Team Members will receive a guided tour of the sales floor.
- A designated trainer will accompany the new Team Members and provide relevant information during the tour.

Department and Key Item Locations:
- During the sales floor tour, new Team Members will be shown the location of each department within the store.
- Trainers will point out key items and popular sections to help new team members develop an understanding of the store's layout.

Breakroom, Office, and Stockroom:
- New Team Members will be introduced to the location of the breakroom, where they can take breaks and enjoy their meals.
- The office, where administrative tasks and communication take place, will also be shown.
- Additionally, trainers will provide a brief overview of the stockroom, emphasizing its importance and explaining any guidelines for access.

Important Information and Postings:
- Trainers will direct new Team Members' attention to important store postings, such as safety guidelines, store policies, and HR-related information.
- It is important for new team members to review and familiarize themselves with these postings to ensure compliance and understanding.

Trash and Recycling Disposal:
- New team members will be informed of the designated areas for trash and recycling disposal within the store.
- Trainers will explain the procedures and guidelines for proper waste management, emphasizing the importance of adhering to store regulations.

On/Off the Sales Floor Awareness:
- New Team Members will be educated about the distinction between being on and off the sales floor.
- When on the sales floor, Team Members are in public areas of the store and should wear their lanyard and badge for easy identification and availability to assist Fans.
- It is important to avoid cell phone use and standing behind the cash wrap during active work hours on the sales floor.
- When off the sales floor, Team Members are in areas behind closed doors and away from Fan views.

Emergency Exit Familiarization:
- As an additional component, new Team Members will also be educated on identifying emergency exits in the store.
- Trainers will point out the locations of emergency exits, emphasizing the importance of knowing escape routes and evacuation procedures in case of an emergency.

Team Member Parking Location and Procedure:
- New team members will be provided with information regarding the designated parking area for team members.
- Trainers will explain the specific location and any guidelines or procedures related to team member parking.
- This information will include instructions on where to park, any designated areas or permits required, and any restrictions or guidelines regarding parking duration or vehicle placement.
